California egg industry might shut down. Woot!

There's a Proposition 2 on the table in California which might force the egg industry to shut down there. The aim is to make sure hens aren't confined to cages. This will make eggs more expensive, so there will be no choice but for CA farmers to stop kidnapping eggs. It'll be too costly for them to stay in business.

I'm a little concerned that the eggs will simply be kidnapped more frequently in other places to make up for the loss. But as eggs get more and more expensive, fewer people will eat them, and that will be good for everyone.

Egg trauma ignored by MSM

Everyone's happy that four teenagers on an egg-vandalism spree have finally been caught. However, EETE is beyond disappointed on the focus of the article. While they mention thousands of dollars in damage, they don't even bother to mention the number of eggs hurt or killed by these thugs. It's this type of "reporting" that leads humans to continually marginalize the second-class citizen status of eggs today.

WMD

There was an 18-year-old who used a plastic egg as a WMD. Filled with air gun pellets, he ignited it and it blew up.

EETE doesn't condone making WMD's, but we have nothing but praise for this man's thinking. Instead of kidnapping a vulnerable, young egg and blowing him or her up, he used a plastic, fake egg which did the job just as well. We feel the prosecuters should show a little mercy--after all, no one got killed, and it may encourage future WMD makers not to kill eggs in order to use the weapon.

I mean, we don't actually want criminals in our organization per se, but if you're going to be a criminal, at least harm your fellow human (there are too many for Earth sustainability anyway) and show respect for other forms of life, like eggs, who share the planet with you.
